In the beginning was the Word, God planted His Word as seed in the womb of Mary. The Word of God became flesh in the person of Jesus Christ, who was born as the Seed of the woman, Immanuel, The Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Son of man, Son of God, King of the Jews, Messiah, who is Christ the Lord. Revelation 19:13 called Jesus, "The Word of God." The Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Jehovah God made humans in His image and likeness to do His will here on the earth, just as HE made His angels as spirits to do His will in the heavens.
God gave angels and humans the freewill to choose obedience or disobedience, submission or rebellion, dependence or independence.
Satan was Lucifer before he became the devil. Lucifer and one-third of the angels used their freewill to choose disobedience, rebellion and independence of God's sovereignty. God cast them out of heaven into the earth. 2Peter 2:4 and Jude 6 have the record of angelic freewill. Isaiah 14:12-14 has the account of how Lucifer used his freewill to rebel against God.
THE TEST, THE TEMPTATION AND THE DECISION.
The temptation in the Garden of Eden was a test. God gave the test in Genesis 2:16-17. Satan brought the temptation in Gen.3. Eve and Adam used their God-given freewill to made the decision to disobey, rebel and live independent of God's word, will and law.
Every human being born of a woman is God's offspring (Acts 17:28-29). Adam was called "the son of God" in Luke 3:38. You and I were born naturally to live as Adam and Eve lived. Our first parents laid the example of disobedience, and rebellion for all of us to emulate and practise.
We are God's offspring, but we are sinners. We fall short of God's glory. There is none righteous, no, not one. All of us have sinned. And the wages of sin is death.
God demonstrated His love when HE gave Jesus as the Lamb for the sacrifice of sin, to take away the sin of the world, so that we can be redeemed, forgiven, reconciled and adopted as righteous sons and daughters of God.
You are a candidate and you qualify for this redemption and salvation which God made available through Jesus Christ. Your fingerprint, DNA and iris of the eye are testimonies that God made you unique. HE did not make another you. There is only one 'you' in the history of God's creation.
Did God make you for religious duties and practices OR did God make you for an intimate relationship to do His will here on the earth?
God sent His TRUTH to set us free from sin. The test has been prepared. God is the One who prepared the test. There were many religions in the world before God gave Jesus for the sacrifice of sin. You shall know the TRUTH and the TRUTH shall set you free.
Religion is a man-made method which is devised to please and appease God. Satan manipulated, and he is still manipulating mankind to create an image or an imagination of God, to legalize the concept and then worship the concept. There is a concept at the core foundation of every religion which appeal to human imagination.
The forbidden fruit was growing from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. It did not make any appeal to Eve and Adam until Satan showed up. It was a temptation. Satan brought it to them.
Your knowledge of good and evil that is established upon human imagination is a temptation. The decision you make, either to embrace God's TRUTH or to adhere to your own concept and imagination, is the exercise of your God-given freewill.
It is a temptation for a human being that is born of a woman to adopt any form of righteousness or religious practices without settling the matter of sin and death.
The TRUTH of God addresses the issue of sin and provide solutions for freedom from sin.
